| Genevieve Blais creates cinematically inspired narratives that explore the role of representation in Western visual culture by appropriating and alluding to cannonical imagery and iconography. Part historian, part self-proclaimed psychoanalyst, she is fascinated with the relationship between art and psychology. She studied photography at Emily Carr University in Vancouver, and currently lives and works out of Toronto, Canada. |
