The Interview production design centered on a “dream office” concept - mid-century modern with a retro-futuristic twist - to match the spot’s surreal, aspirational tone. Since the story followed an imagined career path, the set needed to feel both idealized and slightly otherworldly. To subtly differentiate the male and female leads, we used shifts in colour palette, furniture accents, and set dressing while maintaining a cohesive look. Wardrobe mirrored the dreamlike feel with elevated, aspirational styling.
The design bridged fantasy and reality, culminating in a final scene where the character “wakes up” into a future not far from their dream.
